The Nurses’ Health Study (NHS) was featured in a recent issue of JAMA. The Medical News & Perspectives piece on NHS covered its beginnings and its public health legacy.

NHS is one of several prestigious cohort studies whose specimens are housed at the BWH/Harvard Cohorts Biorespository. The Biorepository houses more than 3.2 million biological specimens from more than 200,000 participants.

All specimen research results are reported to the Biorepository and linked to remaining aliquots over time, resulting in specimen collections rich with more than 30 years of investigational and reported data.
